And now the news anchor for Sky News has opened up about the struggles she faced during the show.
In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Kay said: “I spent a lot of time having my head drilled into the ice, and I was knocked unconscious.
“I broke ribs, I had a black eye, I dislocated my thumb.”
Explaining why she was determined to carry on competing, she spilled: “It was a challenge, but I wanted to raise awareness for Macmillan Cancer Care.”
Kay, who donated her appearance fee to the charity continued: “I wanted to go out of the front door so that I could talk about Macmillan Cancer Care and the sort of work that they do to look after people when they’re at their most vulnerable.
“So, I just kept getting back up and getting back on the horse again.”
The star, who was eliminated from the show in the fifth week, also discussed the possibility of starring in the BBC One competition Strictly Come Dancing.
Breaking her silence on the reports, she insisted: “I wasn’t carried out the party.”
The broadcaster went on to explain that she hadn’t exited the glitzy bash with the hunk, and had asked the man to put her down.
Kay also discussed her involvement with the British Heart Foundation, after she hosted The Beating Hearts Ball at Guildhall last week.
