Emmerdale butler Graham (played by Andrew Scarborough) swiftly became a fan-favourite on the ITV soap after his introduction last year, particularly when it became clear that he was the moral compass between himself and his boss Joseph Tate (Ned (Porteous).
Yet the last week has seen Joseph get more and more suspicious of his trusted aide following the realisation that Graham had secretly deleted CCTV footage from Home Farm’s kitchen.
Enlisting a dodgy assistant to get to the bottom of it, Joseph eventually found out that the man in the footage was Simon (Liam Ainsworth).
Following tonight’s episode, some viewers became convinced that Simon was actually Graham’s son.
Taking to Twitter, fans shared their theories about the soap’s most-talked about character.
One person wrote: “Is Simon Graham’s son?? @emmerdale #Emmerdale.”
“Graham is the guy who killed Rachel Hughes Rachel Hughes was Joe Tate’s mum Graham is working for Joe Tate so that Joe Tate doesn’t shop him #emmerdale,” another fan reasoned.
A third wondered: “Why does Graham look like an undertaker? #Emmerdale,” followed by: “What was Graham doing with that table? #emmerdale.”
One viewer joked: “Is Graham a robot? 🙂 #Emmerdale.”
While another complained: “This Joe and Graham relationship thing… is just plain weird and is getting annoying now. #emmerdale.”
Meanwhile, Joseph was horrified to hear from Simon that not only had his former girlfriend Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) been behind the acid attack, but that it was actually meant for him.
Reeling from the discovery, a desperate Joseph begged Simon to make him a deal that he wouldn’t tell the police about Debbie, and promised him £100,000 to keep his silence.
It was newcomer Dean who tried to make the billionaire businesswoman see sense however, confused he had no idea why Simon had been at Home Farm.
Joseph told him arrogantly: “I’m the one who got lucky,” but Dean wasn’t so sure.
“You’re the one who just paid ‘Mr Acid’ a visit,” the mystery character replied bluntly.
He added: “It’s a lot of money, but how long is he happy to sit in a cell just so he can get his pay day?”
As the reality of his situation sank in, Joseph’s face seemed to say it all. Has he finally lost control of his revenge plan against the Dingles? And are Graham and Simon connected?
